Born in the year 1991, I have always been highly interested in the political system that has endured a civil war, a manifest destiny that blazed a new frontier towards the Pacific Ocean, two world wars, years of injustice towards minority members of our population, and one sad morning in New York, Washington D.C., and Pennsylania. In the years of the Great Depression, the American people look towards a man to lead themselves out of hard times. Coming from a poor farming community, my Grandfather and his family looked towards the great governor of New York, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. My grandfather found a home in the Democratic Party. I have followed in the footsteps of my grandfather by rejecting the "anything goes" deregulation and utter disregard for personal liberty and civil rights that have been the quintessence of the modern conservative movement and the Republican Party. I am enrolled as a full time student at Richard Bland College with hopes of a career in politics and/or foreign affairs.
